Are you training, or simply working out?

 

There are three keys to achieving physical results: Following the correct training program, being coached to execute that program safely and effectively, and having the motivation and accountability to do so consistently. 

Our world-class coaching offers all three key components, and has helped thousands of individuals achieve their goals, from competing in the Olympics, overcoming injury, competing in their first distance running events to simply being functionally fit for every day life.

In-Person Youth Athlete Development

 

We teach 12-18 year olds how to use the gym environment safely and effectively.

 

Based in our gym facility in Chippenham, Wiltshire, our Youth Athlete Development program helps teenagers perform better, reduce their risk of injury, and lead healthier lives. Our coaching is the perfect complement to young athlete’s sports training – allowing them to fulfil their potential on the field of play – whilst also engaging children not so keen on organised sport.

The program is £46 per month, with no contract, and includes: 

  • Individualised gym and speed programs, which take into account each individual’s goals and starting points such as biomechanical differences, physical maturity and injuries. This ensures safe and maximal progress.
  • Unlimited, coached training sessions in our facility – coaching being key to ensuring safe and effective strength training. The timetable for this is flexible and each day after school, plus Saturdays.
  • Regular performance testing sessions, which use cutting edge Sports Science technology to evaluate mobility, strength, speed, and endurance.
  • A place on our Athlete Education Program (AEP). This is workshop based and supports training results by educating the athletes on how to maximise their health and results using nutrition, mindset and recovery.

In-Person Adult Coaching

 

Train with Purpose

 

The Academy's unique gym model means anyone can benefit from the coaching, support and facilities traditionally only available to professional athletes – creating the platform perform, look and feel better.

Membership is suitable for people participating in any sport, from distance running and obstacle course racing, to field sports and equestrian. For those who don’t participate in a sport and are looking for a new athletic challenge, the Southern Academy of Sport run annual training and challenge events, including the Three Peaks, Coastal walks and races, and OCR events. We are also an official Hyrox training club and regularly enter teams into Hyrox competitions.

Adult membership is £62 per month, without contract, and includes individualised training programs, updated monthly, and unlimited weekly coaching sessions at our facility, in a semi-private setting (i.e. one coach with up to eight members). You will also receive access to our athlete education workshops and online platform.

Remote Coaching

 

Access our coaching and programming expertise anywhere in the world.

As well as our in-person offerings we currently work with athletes and non-athletes all over the world to help them improve performance, recover from injury and look or feel better.

After an initial consultation, we design an individualised program that considers factors including your goals, injury history, training preferences and training location (e.g. home, 24 hour gym).

This program is delivered to you via our coaching app, which is fully interactive, with exercise demonstrations, the ability to track progress, and a function to message your coach, or send video or photos of your training for review.

Our remote coaching service is ÂŁ62 per month (ÂŁ46 for students), with no contract.
