Rehab 2.0

The traditional private physiotherapy model of seeing a practitioner for assessment, being given a few exercises to complete at home without guidance (which you often forget to do), then coming back next month and doing the same again is rarely the most effective way of healing an injury and getting you back to full function.

If it was, that’s what would happen in professional sports. But it doesn't.

The world's best take an integrated rehab approach, with medical professionals working alongside sports and strength coaches to take a 360 degree approach to health and rehabilitation - and this is what you can expect from the Southern Academy of Sport.

Lead Clinician: Tom Easen

Tom is a Chartered Physiotherapist, graduating with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Keele University, and has 20 years experience across the NHS, Ministry of Defence (including at injured soldiers unit Headley Court) and High Performance sport.

Tom runs a private clinic from the Academy's headquarters, as well as leading medical provision for Bath Rugby Women.

He is constantly learning how to improve his practice, and takes a wholistic approach to helping clients get back to what they love doing, working with surgeons, imaging centres and the Academy's coaching team where appropriate.
