The Southern Academy of Sport gym membership is designed to help athletes of all sports, abilities and ages fulfil their potential.
GYM 2.0 – PREPARE LIKE A PRO
The Southern Academy of Sport’s unique gym model means anyone who sees themselves as an athlete can benefit from the coaching, support and facilities traditionally only available to professional athletes – creating the platform perform, look and feel better.
Membership is suitable for people participating in any sport, from distance running and obstacle course racing, to field sports and equestrian. For those who don’t participate in a sport and are looking for a new athletic challenge, the Southern Academy of Sport run annual training and challenge events, including the Three Peaks, Coastal walks and races, and OCR events.
How It Works
INDIVIDUALISED
One on one consultation and an athletic development program designed to take the athlete to their goals.
COACHED EVERY TIME
Gym coaching at every training session. Attendance within opening hours is unlimited.
TRAIN LIKE A PRO
The 'Team Training' model replicates elite methods. Limited to a 7:1 client to coach ratio, athletes train to individualised programs, with coaches on the gym floor to provide technical guidance, support and motivation.
NUTRITION
Nutritional coaching for health and performance is delivered through the Academy's Athlete Education Program - a combination of online learning and small group workshops, designed and led by Precision Nutrition qualified coaches.
MINDSET AND RECOVERY
Recovery and mindset coaching to optimise training is delivered through the Academy's Athlete Education Program.
REGULAR UPDATES
Regular testing, monitoring, and review of progress.
